Throughput of Novorossiysk port down 4% to 9.12 mln tons in Jan’13
In January 2013, throughput of Novorossiysk port fell by 4%, year-on-year, to 9.12 mln tons. As PortNews IAA learnt from the port Administration, transshipment of loaded containers amounted 41,230 TEUs, empty containers - 21,090 TEUs. Oil transshipment totaled 5.34 mln tons, oil product – 1.49 mln tons, ferrous metal - 843,900, ore - 204,300 tons, non-ferrous metals – 103,000.
Novorossiysk is Russia’s largest port. 6 stevedoring companies operate in its territory (as of January 2013). The port’s throughput in 2012 totaled 117.4 mln tons.
