Marine Façade (St. Petersburg) forecasts 2-pct revenue gain to RUR 343 mln in 2012
Passenger Port of St. Petersburg Marine Façade forecasts the revenue of RUR 343 mln, a 2-pct gain as compared with the result of 2011, PortNews IAA reporter cites Serik Zhusupov, President of JSC Passenger Port St. Petersburg "Marine Façade", as saying today, January 30, 2013.
The revenue from infrastructure used by cruise vessels totaled RUR 180 mln, up 7%, year-on-year, the revenue from auxiliary services provided to vessels increased by 35% against 2011 to RUR 70 mln.
When summarizing the results of 2012, Serik Zhusupov noted the completion of works on infrastructure development at the port and at neighboring territories as one of the achievements. In particular, Michmanskaya street connecting Korablestroitelei street and the passenger port was opened for the traffic.
“The entrance to the port is put into operation. A convenient and safe way out of the port is available now – it does not cross the city quarters and makes no additional problems for the residents of the neighborhood,” Zhusupov noted.
JSC Passenger Port St. Petersburg "Marine Façade" is in the ownership of the city of St. Petersburg and is the largest passenger seaport in Russia. Construction of Marine Façade began in 2006. The port can accommodate cruise and ferry ships of up to 311 m long and with a draft of up to 9 m. The length and depth of new access channels - 10 km and 11 m, accordingly. The port operates seven piers. The quay wall length – 2,171.06 m. In 2011, passenger traffic at Marine Façade was 405,200 people.
