Containerships unloads 17 TEUs at Yug-2 terminal (Ust-Luga), 1st call of new service (photo)
New container service is launched at multi-purpose transshipment complex Yug-2, press center of OJSC Ust-Luga Company (Yug-2 owner) informs.
On Tuesday, January 29, Containerships VI of Containerships line moored at berth No22 of the transshipment complex and unloaded 17 TEUs of cargo delivered from Teesport and Rotterdam. It is the first call of the line to Yug-2.
A regular service of the line from the ports of the North Europe and England may eventually develop in view of future cooperation between OJSC Commercial Seaport of Ust-Luga and Containerships.
Besides Containerships, SeaConnect also calls on Yug-2 terminal.
Multi-purpose transshipment complex Yug-2 handles rolling cargoes, mainly new imported cars, containers and general cargo. Yug-2 is the only highly specialized motor car terminal in Russia capable of handling ro-ro and con-ro vessels.
