Murmansk branch of Makarov University’s education & training center passed Rosmorrechflot inspection
Murmansk branch of the Admiral Makarov University’s education & training center has successfully passed the inspection held by Rosmorrechflot commission to permit simulated training of navigators and radio specialists. According to the University’s press center, the inspection was carried out in compliance with the requirements of RF Transport Ministry’s order No 32 dated 10.02.2010.
The maritime education & training center plans to start training navigators on application of radiolocation stations, automatic radar plotting aids, electronic cartographic information systems as well as radio specialists of Global Maritime Distress and Safety System.
The project implementation will make it possible to establish a multi-functional educational center for training and certification of crew members in compliance with RF Transport Ministry’s order No 62 dated 15.03.2012.
In 2012, the maritime education & training center of the Admiral Makarov University expanded training of cadets, students and maritime specialists by 49%. The launch of new programs will ensure the growth dynamics in 2013 as well, now within the framework of the Admiral Makarov State University of Maritime and Inland Shipping.
