Vladislav Piotrovski takes position of economic security adviser of BFC Director General
Vladislav Piotrovski, former head of the Central Internal Affairs Directorate (GUVD) of St. Petersburg and Leningrad region, has taken up the position of the economic security adviser of BFC Director General, press center of Baltic Fuel Company (BFC Group) reports.
According to Stanislav Korneev, BFC Director General, this new position was introduced in view of an intensive expansion of the company’s geographic footprint represented by its subsidiaries as well as further extensive branch diversification of the Group’s business.
“Our company goes beyond Big Port St. Petersburg within the framework of the basic business-lines. It also occupies new niches in the competitive markets. In particular, the company plans to bunker vessels in other regions. Besides, in early 2013 KONTUR SPb (incorporated by BFC) became the main partner of Rosmorport FSUE on providing ecological services to vessels subject to obligatory ecological dues in Big Port St. Petersburg. The company also escalates retail sales of oil products to fuel-and-energy companies. We highly appreciate Vladislav Piotrovski’s managerial experience and professionalism being sure that this appointment will enable our company to implement the tasks set up by the shareholders with the maximum efficiency,” Stanislav Korneev commented.
Baltic Fuel Company LLC headquartered in St. Petersburg was established in 2008 for managing of the Holding’s bunkering assets effectively. For more than 10 years the Group’s companies export oil product, provide bunkering and ecological services etc. The Company’s fleet comprises 30 vessels. It is the largest bunkering fleet in Russia’s North West region. The Company is one of the three leading bunker suppliers in the port of St. Petersburg and in the Leningrad region. Besides, it is one of the three leaders in the North-West market of oil product motor transportation.
As of today, BFC Group incorporates six companies engaged in transportation of oil product by inland water ways of Russia and by motor transport, bunkering of vessels, ecological services and stevedoring activities.
Vladislav Piotrovski was born 16.10.1963 in Vilnus (Lithuania). In 1990 he graduated from the Leningrad Institute of Aircraft Instrumenntation and in 1995 – from St. Petersburg High School of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA).
He began his service for the Ministry in Kuybyshev district militia in St. Petersburg. Later he became the chief of militia department N27 in Kuybyshev district. He occupied different posts in St. Petersburg’s regional offices of internal affairs in Krasnogvardeisk and Petrograd districts.
From December 1999 — head of the criminal investigation department of St. Petersburg and Leningrad Region GUVD. From October 2003— head of the criminal militia and first deputy head of St. Petersburg and Leningrad Region GUVD.
From November 14, 2006 till June 10, 2011— Head of St. Petersburg and Leningrad Region GUVD. Resigned from June 8, 2011.
From November 1, 2011 till September 2012 – MBRD Vice-President of Security.
From September 2012 till 15.01.2013 – MGTS Deputy Director General on Economic Security.
