Far East Development Fund interested in Sovetskaya Gavan PSEZ
Aleksandr Bazhenov, Director General of OJSC «The Far East and Baikal Region Development Fund» has confirmed the Fund’s interest in participation in the Khabarovsk region’s priority investment projects with further detailed working on joint practical steps (‘a road map’) for their implementation, press center of the regional government refers to the results of the meeting between Aleksandr Bazhenov and Viktor Kalashnikov, Deputy Chairman of the Khabarovsk region’s Government and the region’s Minister of Economic Development and Foreign Relations.
Those projects include the comprehensive development of Vanino-Sovetskaya Gavan transport hub including the Sovetskaya Gavan sea port special economic zone, Bolshoy Ussuriisky Island development and gas chemical facility construction in the region.
Besides, the delegation of the Khabarovsk region headed by Viktor Kalashnikov participated in the joint meeting of RF Ministry of Far East Development and Coordination Council of interregional association of economic cooperation between RF constituent entities Far East and Transbaikalia held in Moscow and dedicated to RF Governmental project “Social and economic development of the Far East and Baikal region through 2025”.
Moreover, preliminary discussion of the Far Eastern projects to be included in the state program “Social and economic development of the Far East and Baikal region through 2025” was held in Moscow, at the Center of Strategic Studies.
The regional government proposed a number of projects to be included in the state program: implementation of comprehensive investment projects Vanino-Sovetskaya Gavan transport hub including the Sovetskaya Gavan sea port special economic zone, Bolshoy Ussuriisky Island development, Chegdomyn KIP, development of an innovative territorial cluster of aviation and shipbuilding, development of the Baikal-Amur Mainline as well as the development of transport, energy, engineering and social infrastructure.
