Thursday bunker prices mostly up in North, Western Europe
IFO Bunker prices in most of North and Western Europe saw small gains today, although Ship & Bunker data showed IFO380 at key port Rotterdam was down slightly for a second consecutive day. Prices in the Mediterranean and Black Sea and Middle East regions were mixed.
Rotterdam IFO380 fell $1.00 to $608.50 per metric tonne (pmt), making an $11.00 loss week-on-week, and $30.50 higher than December 17, 2012. Low sulfur 380 cSt product (LS380) climbed $2.50 to $642.50 making the premium for the Emissions Control Area (ECA) compliant fuel $34.00 pmt. MGO was down $11.50 to $939.50 pmt, $3.00 lower than last Thursday.
Fujairah IFO380 moved up for the first time since Jan 11, 2013 up $2.00 to $619.50 pmt, down $5.00 week-on-week, and $18.00 higher than this time last month. MGO moved up $5.00 to $999.50 pmt, $0.50 lower than last Thursday, and down $11.50 month-on-month.
Istanbul IFO380 was down for a fourth consecutive day falling $2.00 to $649.00 pmt, falling $6.00 week-on-week, and $35.00 higher than this time last month. MGO in the port slipped $5.00 to $1015.00 pmt, making a $+11.00 change since last Thursday, and gaining $18.50 since December 17, 2012.
Piraeus IFO380 was steady at $635.00 pmt, $8.00 lower week-on-week, and up $39.50 from December 17, 2012. LS380 was down $2.50 to $697.50 making the premium for the low sulfur product $62.50 pmt. MGO in Piraeus dropped $4.50 to $987.00 pmt, up $6.00 since last Thursday.
