Gazprom’s IFRS net profit down 12% to RUR 814 bln in Jan–Sep
The net profit of Russian gas giant Gazprom fell by 11.9% to 813.721 billion rubles in January–September, as calculated in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), the company’ press center states.
Revenue increased by 2% to 3.351 trillion rubles in this period. Net revenue from gas sales fell by 8% to 1.928 trillion rubles.
Net debt rose by 12% to 1.157 trillion rubles on long-term borrowings and a decrease in monetary funds.
Operating expenses increased by 18% to 2.491 trillion rubles in January–September. The company spent 666.983 billion rubles on oil and gas, a 6% increase on the year, with 407.051 billion rubles being spent specifically on gas purchases.
Capital expenditures rose by 7% to 936.361 billion rubles during this period.
Gazprom is a global energy company. Its major business lines are geological exploration,production, transportation, storage, processing and sales of gas, gas condensate and oil, as well as generation and marketing of heat and electric power. Gazprom views its mission in reliable, efficient and balanced supply of natural gas, other energy resources and their derivatives to consumers.
