Mid Week European bunker prices fall
Bunker prices in Europe were mostly falling today, according to Ship & Bunker data, with IFO380 in Fujairah, Istanbul, and Piraeus all down for a third consecutive market day.
Rotterdam IFO380 slipped $3.50 to $609.50 per metric tonne (pmt), down $1.50 week-on-week, and an increase of $31.50 compared to this time last month. Low sulfur 380 cSt product (LS380) dropped $5.50 to $640.00 making the premium for the Emissions Control Area (ECA) compliant fuel $30.50 pmt. MGO climbed $5.00 to $951.00 pmt, $17.00 up week-on-week.
Fujairah IFO380 dropped $2.50 to $617.50 pmt, losing $3.00 since last Wednesday, and $16.00 higher than December 17, 2012. MGO was unchanged at $994.50 pmt, $7.00 down week-on-week, and $16.50 lower month-on-month.
Istanbul IFO380 slipped $0.50 to $651.00 pmt, up $3.50 week-on-week, and an increase of $37.00 since December 17, 2012. MGO moved up $8.50 to $1020.00 pmt, up $3.50 since last Wednesday, and climbing $37.00 month-on-month.
Piraeus IFO380 fell $1.00 to $635.00 pmt, $0.50 lower than last Wednesday, and rising $39.50 from this time last month. LS380 slipped $7.00 to $700.00 making the premium for the low sulfur grade $65.00 pmt. MGO was up for a second consecutive day rising $7.00 to $991.50 pmt, $18.00 higher week-on-week.
