IBIA appoints board members
International bunker industry association (IBIA) said in a press release Wednesday it has appointed Mustafa Muhtaroglu from Energy Petrol, Istanbul as a new board member, replacing the immediate past chairman Bob Lintott.
According to the press release, Mustafa is the founding chairman of the Turkish Bunker Association and was elected to the council of IBIA in 2003 and IBIA Board in 2009.
He has also acted as an Assembly Member of the Turkish Chamber of Maritime since 2004, and was re-elected in 2009 for a further 4 years.
IBIA said it has also re-elected Dilip Mody from Global Fuels & Lubricants, India, and Jens Maul Jorgensen from Oldendorff Carriers in Germany to its board.
Welcoming the appointments, IBIA Chairman Nigel Draffin said: "We’re delighted to welcome Mustafa Muhtaroglu to the board and pleased that IBIA will continue to benefit from the input of Dilip Mody and Jens Maul Jorgensen.
"Members of the IBIA board are drawn from all areas of the international bunkering industry and bring a huge amount of experience to the organisation. IBIA also thanks Bob Lintott for his dedication and support to the association over the years." The appointments take effect April 1, 2013.
