Throughput of Rosterminalugol OJSC up 26% to 13.76 mln t in 2012
In 2012, Rosterminalugol OJSC handled 13,768,649.558 tons of coal, a 26-pct gain, year-on-year. The plan is exceeded by 11%, the company’s press center reports.
In the reported period, Rosterminalugol handled 262 vessels with average capacity of 52,500 tons, which is 14% more as compared with the year of 2011.
The largest vessel (104,088.743 tons) was handled for 41 hours.
The maximum efficiency rate of vessel loading reached 48,730 tons per shift (12 hours).
The maximum monthly result was recorded in July 2012 when the company handled 24 vessels with 1,421,151.596 tons of cargo.
Average coefficient of berth occupation made 55.6% in 2012 (+2.9%, year-on-year).
OJSC Rosterminalugol was established in 1996 to build and operate the coal terminal at Ust-Luga commercial seaport. The terminal’s design annual capacity is 12 million tons of coal. Rosterminalugol specializes in loading / unloading operations, freight forwarding services, building and maintenance of facilities at the coal terminal in the Luga Bay of the Gulf of Finland. The terminal has two berths of total length of 540 meters and depth of 14 meters. The terminal is able to accommodate 240-m-long, 32.2-m-wide vessels. In 2011, coal exports via the terminal surged 45.3% year-over-year to 10.9 million tons.
