Russian Maritime Register of Shipping accredited by Federal Accreditation Service
Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS) has been accredited within the Unified National System of Accreditation as a certification body for quality management systems within the GOST R Certification System, RS press center reports.
The Federal Accreditation Service (Rosakkreditatsiya) Commission has taken a decision on the RS accreditation basing on the expert examination results of the RS documents and the RS 2012 accreditation audit. The order on accreditation and the certificate issue was published on 27 December, 2012.
The status of the Unified National System of Accreditation certification body and further accreditation within the GOST R Certification System, accreditation within the “Military Register” Voluntary Certification System and recognition the results of the RS auditors activity by the European Inspection and Certification Company S.A. having internationally-recognized IAF accreditation, allow RS to provide its customers the integrated service on quality management systems certification and to take the leading position in the sphere of rendering services on firms and organizations' quality management systems certification.
The Unified National System of Accreditation is a system established by the President of the Russian Federation Decree of January 24, 2011 No. 86 "On Unified National System of Accreditation". Federal Accreditation Service (Rosakkreditatsiya) under the authority of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation has been formed according to the mentioned document. Rosakkreditatsiya is an authorised federal executive body acting as a Russian national accreditation body, as well as a body developing the Unified National System of Accreditation and monitoring the accredited persons’ activities.
