Cargo turnover of Russia’s Far East up 28.6% in 2012 – Viktor Ishayev
In 2012, cargo turnover of all types of transport in the Far East increased by 28.6%, year-on-year. According to the press center of the RF Minister on the development of the Far East, Presidential Plenipotentiary in the Far Eastern Federal District Viktor Ishayev, the general throughput of Russia is just nearing the pre-crisis level recorded before 2008 and making 99.9% of the previous year.
Viktor Ishayev noted that starting with 2008 the economy of the Far East saw no falls having showed steady increase only. According to him, industrial production index climbed by 121% in the Far Eastern Federal District, and by 103.7% in Russia.
“Annual fixed capital expenditures are not to reach the pre-crisis level of 99%, while they will up by 129.4% in the Far East,” the Minister underlined.
