Former Brightoil Bunker CEO joins Goldman Sachs
Quek Chin Thean will head the investment bank's commodities trading team in Asia-Pacific. The former CEO of Brightoil's trading and bunkering team has joined The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. [NYSE:GS], according to Reuters.
Quek Chin Thean will be based in Singapore and head the investment bank's commodities trading team in Asia-Pacific, a spokeswoman said. Quek left Brightoil in November, and was one a number of high level departures from the firm last year.
Brightoil since announced a shake up of its fuel oil and bunkering business as part of its Strategic Reform of Fuel Oil International Trading and Bunkering Business.
