Americas bunker prices end the week mixed
Bunker prices in the Americas ended the week mixed, with IFO bunkers in a number of ports in North America making small downward movements and South America saw double digit gains, Ship & Bunker reports.
Houston IFO380 fell for a fourth consecutive day dropping $0.50 to $634.00 per metric tonne (pmt), $4.00 higher than last Friday, and up $35.50 since December 11, 2012. Low sulfur 380 cSt product (LS380) was up $1.50 to $734.50 making the premium for the Emissions Control Area (ECA) compliant fuel $100.50 pmt. MGO rose $0.50 to $1018.50 pmt, gaining $12.00 week-on-week.
LA / Long Beach IFO380 dropped for a third consecutive day falling $1.00 to $645.50 pmt, down $3.50 week-on-week, and $15.50 higher than December 11, 2012. LS380 remained at $767.50 making the premium for the low sulfur fuel $122.00 pmt. MGO in the port was down $7.00 to $1035.50 pmt, losing $16.50 since this time last week.
New Orleans IFO380 was steady at $644.50 pmt, $3.50 higher than last Friday, and up $23.50 month-on-month. LS380 was up $3.50 to $742.00 making the premium for the low sulfur grade $97.50 pmt. MGO dropped $3.00 to $1017.00 pmt, rising $17.00 since last Friday.
Vancouver IFO380 dropped $0.50 to $633.50 pmt, down $4.50 week-on-week, and $1.00 higher than December 11, 2012. LS380 was down $0.50 to $881.50 making the premium for the low sulfur grade $248.00 pmt. MGO in Vancouver dropped $2.00 to $1066.00 pmt, falling $11.00 over the past week.
