Alam Maritim seals contract extension
Alam Maritim Resources clinched an extension of contract for the provision of one accommodation work barge for a sum of approximately MYR33.59m ($11.12m), Seatrade Asia online reports.
The contract came into effect on 12 January 2013 and will last until 11 January 2014.
Kuala Lumpur-listed Alam Maritim said the contract is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets of the company for the financial year ending 31 December 2013 and beyond.
Last week, Alam Maritim sealed a MYR8.1m deal to provide an offshore supply vessel to a Malaysia-based international provider of oilfield services.
