Kaohsiung improves 2012 box throughput
Taiwan's main seaport Kaohsiung achieved a marginal improvement in annual container throughput in 2012, according to figures from Taiwan International Ports Corporation (TIPC), Seatrade Asia online reports.
Kaohsiung handled a total of 9.78m teu of boxes in 2012, representing a 1.5% increase from 9.64m teu moved in 2011.
In December, the Taiwanese port posted 795,986 teu of throughput, an improvement month-on-month from 780,940 teu in November.
