Gunvor and Rosneft enter oil supply agreement
Gunvor Group and Rosneft have signed a one-year agreement for the supply of 6 million tons of oil products. The oil will be delivered from Samara Group’s refineries (Kuibyshev, Novokuibyshevsk and Syzran) and exported through the terminals based on the Baltic Sea (Ust-Luga, 100% owned by Gunvor Group) and the Black Sea (Novorossiysk, 50% owned by Gunvor Group), PRIME reports.
Rosneft awarded the contract to Gunvor Group Gunvor, which was the winner in a bidding process. The Group submitted a package of proposals, including procurement services, transportation and transshipment of oil products. Transoil will provide the cargo railway transportation between the refineries and terminals.
“This is a landmark deal, whereby Russia’s largest oil company will be able to take advantage the country’s most cost-efficient export facilities, which have been created by Gunvor Group,” Gunvor press release said.
