Director resigns from Singapore bunker trading firm
Alvin Tan, a director at Singapore-based bunker trading firm Rudder Pte Ltd (Rudder) resigned last Thursday after almost five years with the company, Ship & Bunker reports.
The resignation was effective immediately.
Talking to Ship & Bunker today, a spokesperson for the company said Tan set up the Singapore operation for the Monaco headquartered firm in 2008 and had responsibilities including the day-to-day management of the trading team.
There were no immediate plans to replace Tan, they said, and their operations remained "well supported" from their Monaco head office.
Tan, who has spent some 17 years in the bunker industry, has had previous appointments at Peninsula Petroleum, Cockett Marine Oil (Asia) Pte Ltd, and Coastal Bunkering Services.
There was no comment as to why Tan had chosen to leave the firm, or on his plans for the future.
In addition to Singapore and Monaco, Rudder also an office in Argentina.
