Rosmorport takes delivery of Project MRB14 workboat Marlin (photo release)
Rosmorport’s Tuapse department of Azov-Black Sea Basin branch commissioned into service a serial multipurpose workboat of Project MRV14 named Marlin (Hull No 403), the federal enterprise said.
The workboat built at Moscow Shipyard (MSSZ) was delivered by motor transport to her homeport of Tuapse on September 22, 2012.
The multipurpose workboat MRV14 Marlin will expand a fleet of Tuapse branch of Rosmorport and will be utilized for delivery of pilots, crewmembers, and inspectors to the ships, survey of navigable waterways, participation in rescue operations and for other tasks.
The vessel of Project MRV14 is a modern, powerful, economical, fast and highly maneuverable boat, which is a combination of modern design solutions and innovative shipbuilding technologies. The workboat is equipped with advanced Volvo Penta IPS 450 propulsion system.
