Rosneft awarded exploration & production license for Sernovodsk field
Rosneft was awarded the oil exploration and production license for the Sernovodsk field in Ingushetia, the company said. The license expires on September 27, 2037. Within three years from the date of the license state registration the company is to complete the construction of at least one exploration well.
Moscow-headquartered Rosneft is an integrated oil company majority owned by the Russian Government. Rosneft ranks among the world’s top publicly traded oil and gas companies and is engaged in exploration and production of hydrocarbons, petroleum products and petrochemicals, and marketing of outputs. The Russian Government holds a 75.16-percent stake in Rosneft (through OJSC Rosneftegaz), 15% of shares are in free-float.
