Khabarovsk Shipyard launches ASD tug for Rosnefteflot
Khabarovsk Shipyard (KhSZ) held a launching ceremony for Azimuth Stern Drive Tug (ASD) of Project 2310, built for Rosneft’s JSC Rosnefteflot, the Khabarovsk government press office said.
The maneuverable ASD tug is designed to escort vessels outside the port, for harbor, coastal and docking operations.
Ship’s characteristics: displacement - 350 t, speed - 11.5 kn, crew - 6. The tug is powered by twin Caterpillar engines. The tug has modern navigation and equipped with rescue equipment.
From October 25 to November 10, 2012 the vessel will be delivered to the shipbuilder’s base in Vladivostok for outfitting and handing over to the customer.
Currently Kherson Shipyard is executing a contract for the second ASD tug for Rosnefteflot.
JSC Khabarovsk Shipyard is a subsidiary of Far Eastern Center of Shipbuilding and Ship Repair of United Shipbuilding Corporation. The enterprise specializes in the construction of vessels for the Russian Navy.
