Afren Energy extends Bumi charter
Afren Energy Resources has extended its bareboat charter contract for Bumi Armada's Armada Perkasa FPSO, which has been operating offshore Nigeria in the Okoro-Setu field, for another year, Seatrade Asia online reports.
The contract is estimated at approximately MYR100m ($32.7m) in total.
"Our Armada Perkasa has been operating for Afren since 2008 with 99.8% uptime and it achieved its 1,000 days without lost time injuries in July this year," executive director and ceo Hassan Basma, was quoted as saying.
The original contract was first awarded in 2007 for a firm five-year period with options to extend for five years on an annual basis.
