Rosmorport pilot service to get 10 newbuilds by the end of 2015
Rosmorport in pursuit of safer shipping in the waters of Russia’s sea ports and on the approaches to them, is expanding its marine pilotage service’s fleet, conducts other measures, the state company’s spokeswoman Irina Lobkova said.
Rosmorport’s head of navigation safety department Sergei Ilyashenko told the Russian marine pilots conference in St. Petersburg that the enterprise’s branches have been taking deliveries of six multipurpose boats (MRB-14) and an ice-class pilot boat (PI22). By 2015, Four boats of the same project are scheduled for delivery by the end of 2015.
Rosmorport also invested RUB 11m in modern special clothing for its pilots, and over RUB 40m in improvement of working conditions and wage hike.
