Afai Southern Shipyard wins two 40M high speed ferry orders
On September 29th, 2012, Afai Southern Shipyard (Panyu Guangzhou) Ltd. signed the construction contracts for two 40M alumimium high speed catamaran ferries with Shenzhen Pengxing Shipping Co.,Ltd. in Shenzhen, the CIC press release said.
The basic design and detailed design of this type of ferry will be made by CoCo Yachts Holland B.V., the supplementary approval design and production design will be done by Afai Southern. This type of ferry has overall length of 40.0m, overall width of 9.3m, mld.depth of 3.4m, design draft 1.2m, passenger capacity 199 persons, design speed 31.5 knots, and CCS class, with high speed, excellent sea keeping, beautiful appearance etc. features.
The two ferries will be delivered in the first quarter of 2014.
