UASC establishes own presence in Turkey
United Arab Shipping Company (UASC) is pleased to announce that as of October 1st 2012, all UASC operations in Turkey, have started running under “United Arab Shipping Agency Company Denizcilik Nakliyat A.Ş. (UASAC Turkey), a joint venture between UASC and Fevzi Gandur Denizcilik A.Ş and Mitaş Uluslararası Nakliyat ve Gemi Acenteliği Ltd., the UASC press release said.
UASAC Turkey takes over existing activities from 3rd party agents Fevzi Gandur Denizcilik A.Ş in Istanbul and Izmir and from Mitaş Uluslararası Nakliyat ve Gemi Acenteliği Ltd. in Mersin, both agents having dedicated many years in offering quality shipping services in Turkey.
The Turkish market will witness the direct benefits of this new venture notably through the added value of UASC’s global network of services, offering continuously improved port coverage, fast and reliable shipping services with some of the best transit times and cost competitive edge on the market.
