RUP allocates 6,000 sqm for new checkpoint construction
LLC Rostov Universal Port (RUP) allocated a plot of land encompassing 6,000 square meters and handed it over to the federal government without compensation for the construction of facilities of the new marine checkpoint. This will include offices for enforcement authorities responsible for customs and border control in the port of Rostov-on-Don, the Water Transport reports quoting the stevedore company’s CEO Andrei Leshchenko.
Now, the land transfer to the federal property has been formalized, the checkpoint project is being developed. The project will be submitted to Glavgosexpertiza, and its approval is expected in June-July 2013. So, the facilities construction may begin in 2013 (instead of 2015 as it was planned), the RUP CEO said.
