16 fuel-laden ships waits to berth at Lagos ports
Sixteen ships are waiting to berth and discharge petroleum products at various oil terminals in Lagos, according to the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA). The ``Shipping Position’’, a daily publication of the NPA made available on Wednesday, in Lagos, said that 11 of the ships were carrying petrol, Business Day reports.
According to the publication, two of the ships are carrying kerosene; two, diesel; and one, aviation fuel. It also indicated that six other ships are waiting to discharge general cargoes, including rice, fish, bulk wheat and containers.
The publication added that 88 ships laden with different cargoes would arrive at the Lagos ports between October 3 and October 28. It said that 13 of the expected ships would sail in with petroleum products.
