Monday bunker prices move down in Europe and Asia
Many ports in Europe and Asia saw bunker prices fall on Monday, while in the U.S. prices were mostly steady, Ship & Bunker reports.
Singapore IFO380 moved down $3.50 to $654.00 per metric tonne (pmt), and MGO fell $6.50 to bring the price to $957.50 pmt.
Hong Kong saw IFO380 lose $0.50 to $669.50, while MGO saw a second consecutive market day of gains and moved up $0.50 to $983.00 pmt.
Rotterdam IFO380 fell $2.50 to $634.00 pmt, 1.00% maximum sulfur 380 cSt product (LS380) moved down $3.00 to $686.00, and MGO also lost $3.00 bringing the price to $968.00 pmt.
Fujairah 380 cSt product was down $5.00 to $656.00 pmt, equal to last Monday's price, while MGO slipped $4.50 to $1035.00 pmt.
Houston IFO380 and LS380 moved up for a second consecutive market day gaining $0.50 to $645.00 and $1.50 to $747.00 pmt respectively, and MGO climbed for a third consecutive market day rising $2.50 to $1040.50 pmt.
LA / Long Beach IFO380 fell for the first time since September 25, 2012 losing $18.50 to $676.00, and LS380 dropped for a second consecutive market day sliding $53.50 to $774.50 pmt bringing the premium for the low sulfur fuel to $98.50.
The WTI spot price was up for a third consecutive market day gaining $0.29 to close at $92.48 per barrel.
