Updated port charges rates in Russia’s ports go into effect
According to Russian legislation, changes in the rates of port dues and rules for its application in Russia have been effective as from June 12, 2012. The new rates have been approved by the Federal Tariff Service ten days ago.
The new port dues for vessels operating in foreign and coastal trade were adjusted by an average of 5% in all ports of the Russian Federation, except for ports of Azov, Arkhangelsk, Magadan, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and Rostov-on-Don, as well as for sea ports of Chukotka.
The period set for collecting icebreaking fee in the ports of Azov and Rostov-on-Don were reduced by 26 days.
In the ports of Astrakhan, Olya and Ust-Luga the icebreaking fee was indexed by 10% and 5%, respectively.
The navigational dues were completely cancelled for vessels heading for the Saimaa Canal and back.
The procedure of port dues collection was also changed in the ports of Azov, Arkhangelsk, Astrakhan, Vyborg, Vysotsk, Olga, and Rostov-on-Don.
