Zarubezhneft buys 100% stake in ArcticMorNefteGasRazvedka
Zarubezhneft has become the owner of 100% shares (minus one share) of ArcticMorNefteGasRazvedka, the Company press release said.
Voting shares of ArcticMorNefteGasRazvedka have been transferred to the account of Zarubezhneft in the register of holders of registered securities as of May 31, 2012. Other details of the deal are not specified.
SC Zarubezhneft founded in 1967 is a 100-percent state-owned company, the oldest enterprise of Russia’s oil and gas industry. The Company is included in the list of strategic enterprises of the Russian Federation.
JSC Arcticmorneftegasrazvedka was created in 1979 for prospecting, exploration and development of oil and gas deposits on the continental shelf of the Arctic seas of Russia. In 2000 the Company discovered in the Barents and Kara Seas large oil and gas deposit. The company owns specialized oil and gas fleet, comprising 24 vessels for various purposes, including the drilling ship Valentin Shashin and the jack-up drilling rig Murmansk.
