Rosterminalugol handles over 1,250 ships since 2001
Since its commissioning in 2001, the terminal of OJSC Rosterminalugol has handled more than 1,250 coal-laden bulkers, the company said Tuesday. Ten years ago, the terminal loaded 2900 tons of coal on the river vessel Amur.
Rosterminalugol was established in 1996 to build and operate the coal terminal at Port of Ust-Luga. The terminal’s projected annual capacity is 8 million tons of coal. Rosterminalugol specializes in loading / unloading operations, freight forwarding services, building and maintenance of facilities at the coal terminal. The company also provides insurance services for goods and property, the risks of transactions at Ust-Luga port. The terminal has two berths of total length of 540 meters and depth of 14 meters. The terminal can handle vessels with length of 240 m and breadth of 32.2 m. In 2010, coal exports from the terminal rose nearly 6% to 7.5 million tons.
