Passenger Port of St. Petersburg earns ISO certification
Passenger port "Marine Façade" has earned the International Organization for Standardization’s Quality Management Certification (ISO 9001:2008), the Marine Façade said.
Following an audit by the independent classification and certification society Det Norske Veritas the new Passenger Port has received the certificate number 106401-2011-AQ-RUS-FINAS.
The Marine Façade is the first and only Russian specialized passenger terminal. The passenger port's construction started in 2006. In 2011, the port was inaugurated and became the property of St. Petersburg government.
Investments in the passenger port project totaled RUB 18bn: 10 billion rubles from private funds and 8 billion – from the federal budget. The port is able to accommodate cruise and ferry vessels with length of up to 311 m and maximum draft of 9 m. The approach channels length is 10 km, the projected depths of approach channels and waters - 11 m. The length of the quay wall is 2,108 m.
