Zvezda Shipyard lays down ice-class tanker for Rosneft
Far East Zvezda Shipyard has laid keel of an ice-class 3100dwt tankers designed by Vympel design bureau for transportation and supply of four types of oil products, VladNews reports.
Ship’s basic characteristics: DWT - 3,100 tons, length overall - 88.9 m, beam molded - 13.4 m, depth - 7.9 m, draft - about 5.5 m, Ice Class - Arc4, cruising range - about 4,000 miles, operational speed - about 13 knots, the crew - 15 people.
This is the fifth vessel, which have been built by Far East Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Center for state-owned oil giant Rosneft. The tanker delivery is scheduled for August 2013.
Based in Bolshoy Kamen of Primorsky Territory Far East Zvezda Shipyard is the leading company for repair of submarines of the Pacific Fleet and the only shipbuilder in the Far East specializing in repair, refurbishment and modernization of nuclear missile submarines. The shipyard is majority owned by OJSC Far East Center of Shipbuilding and Ship Repair (DTSSS, sub-holding of JSC United Shipbuilding Corporation), holding a 78.73 percent stake.
