«Transport week» concluded in Moscow
«Transport week», the annual event of the international transport society, concluded in Moscow 26 of November 2011, organizer of the event reports.
Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation acted as organizer of the event. During «Transport week» over a thousand and a half business representatives participated in discussions of topics on functioning and development of transport complex in Russia and its further integration into the world transport system.
«Transport week» started with a number of events that took place at various grounds. «Regional conference of ICAO on air safety» became the first conference of such level that is held by Russia under the aegis of ICAO. Its participants reviewed the process of implementation in European and North Atlantic regions of the air safety Declaration that was adopted at the 37th Assembly of ICAO in 2010. Key discussion topics included main aspects and priorities of air safety and working out further actions for the implementation of ICAO’s Declaration.
The sitting of the Board of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation was devoted to enhancement of the training system for specialists in transport complex over the period while Russian education system is being reformed; student self-government in transport educational organisations; forming of the governments decree to educate citizens using the funds from the federal budget and funds of the federal state educational bodies.
The main focus of the round table «Environmental protection during the construction of the linear transport infrastructure objects» was set on ecological doctrine of the Russian Federation, basis of the Russian ecology politics for the period until 2030, its aims, methods of its implementation and issues, and also ways of transit to the «green economy» in construction of transport infrastructure objects.
Over 150 representatives from 42 countries in Europe, Asia, America, Australia, and Africa, including representatives of international road organizations, scientists, leading companies working in the areas of projecting, construction, exploitation of roads, specialists in ecology and traffic safety.
International Road congress “Innovations in road infrastructure” was held as part of the “Transport week”.
V Anniversary international forum and the exhibition “Transport of Russia” were the key events of the “Transport week”. The plenary session of the forum “Transport of Russia: ecology and safety” was attended by Sergey Naryshkin, Head of the Presidential Administration, Valentina Matvienko, Chairman of the Council of Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Sergey Ivanov, Deputy Prime Minister, Igor Levitin, Minister of Transport, Sergey Sobyanin, Mayor of Moscow, key people from ministries and various departments, representatives of transport business society, industry science, and overseas visitors.
