CKYN cuts port collsin the course of restructuring of its Asia-Europe service strings starting in November
The CKYH Alliance, comprising Coscon, K Line, Yang Ming, and Hanjin Shipping plans to cut the number of ports its serves in the course of restructuring of its Asia-Europe service strings starting in November.
Currently CKYH operates seven strings in its Asia-Europe service. A statement said: “After review of calling ports in each existing services and reform many duplicated port-pairs, CKYH will operate 6 strings in Asia/Europe service in year 2007.” It added that the lines believe that having fewer ports of call in both Asia and Europe will enable CKYH Alliance to “provide a more stable and reliable service quality”.
The CKYH member lines also say they are discussing their 2007 business plan for their Asia-Mediterranean services.
