Norwegian Border Guards detained Russian trawler ship in their territorial waters. Persei-3 trawler belongs to NPO Vega CJSC (Murmansk). According to RIA Novosti referring to Gennadij Stepakhno, head of the North Fisheries Union, the incident took place last weekend. He told, that Persei-3 having finalized fishing was going across Norwegian Economic Zone, when Norwegian Border Guards stopped the vessel. Border Guards detected no violations as regards fishing gear or crew activities. Nevertheless the Guards had questions as regards correctness of keeping of documents, ship logbook, in particular, so Persei-3 was sent to Vadse port for additional check. The vessel is there at the moment being, Stepakhno said. According to him, this situation is a strange one since Norwegian Guards question the entries dated by January-April of the current year. After that period the vessel was checked for several times by Norwegian Coast Guard inspectors who had no questions as regards the documents. It is difficult to forecast how long Persei-3 will have to stay in Vadse. Inspection officers are working on board the vessel at the moment being.
