Kontur SPb signs contract with Rosmorport for shipboard waste collection in port St. Petersburg
North-West branch of Rosmorport FSUE and Kontur SPb LLC have signed a contract for collection of shipboard waste from vessels subject to obligatory ecological dues in Big Port St. Petersburg, PortNews IAA learnt from Stanislav Korneev, Director General of Baltic Fuel Company (incorporates Kontur SPb LLC). According to Korneev, the contract was concluded upon the results of an open tender held by the state company in the end of 2012. The fleet of Kontur SPb LLC starts the operation on January 16, 2013. The contract is valid till December 31, 2013.
Earlier Kontur SPb LLC provided ecological services under separate contracts with shipowners. To implement ecological operations the company employs its own fleet able to handle utility fluids, bilge water and solid waste.
