Oil production in Russia in January-August 2006 grew by 2.4% amounting to 318 million tons – Russian Statistics Service
Russia’s oil production (including gas condensate) in January-August 2006 grew by 2.4% as compared with year-on-year results, amounting to 318 million tons, reports RBC referring to the Federal Statistics Service (Rosstat). In August 2006 oil production grew by 3% as compared with August 2005 and by 1.3% as compared with July. According to Rosstat, Russia’s oil production of 2005 (including gas condensate) grew by 2.29% as compared with 2004 results and reached 470 million tons. According to the forecast of the Ministry of Industry and Energy of RF this year it will amount to 479-484 million tons, growth of 1.9-2.9% against year-on-year result.
