FAS OKs the purchase of majority stake in Sovfracht-Primorsk by Primorsky port
Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) in its decision on 21 September granted the petition of Primorsky Port LLC (Leningrad Region) on the acquisition of 99.9905% equity stake in Sovfracht-Primorsk CJSC, the FAS press service said.
Earlier reports said the Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port Group had announced the preparation for acquisition of a 100-percent stake in the authorized share capital of Primorsky Commercial Port LLC. (More details - in Relevant Topic, Sept.16, on PortNews IAA).
Sovfracht-Primorsk CJSC provides mooring and towing services.
Primorsky Commercial Port LLC is the largest stevedoring company in the North-West Federal District, providing cargo handling services to the oil companies, transshipping crude oil transported via the Baltic pipeline system. In 2009, the volume of crude oil handled by PCP reached 74,895,200 tons.
