Emirates Shipping Line joins ASEAN–Gulf-Indian Subcontinent liner service
Emirates Shipping Line has joined the ASEAN–Gulf–Indian Subcontinent (AGI) service launched recently by the consortium of Evergreen, Simatech and OOCL, offering a direct link from Thailand to the Middle East and the Indian Subcontinent (ISC).
Emirates will have slots on the service and will serve the Thailand–ISC markets with additional direct link to the Middle East.
Port rotation of the service is: Laem Chabang – Singapore – Tanjung Pelepas - Port Klang – Colombo – Jebel Ali – Karachi – Mundra – Colombo – Port Klang – Singapore – Laem Chabang.
Emirates' participation commences on the “HS Challenger” departing Thailand on September 17th 2010. The service is the only direct link that exists between Thailand and the Middle East.
