The project of the first annual award "Oil Terminal 2006" has been launched
The project of the first annual award "Oil Terminal 2006" has been launched. According to the project’ organizing committee, market experts are to spend several months to determine the best oil ports of Russia, countries of CIS, Western and Eastern Europe as per results of the period from July 1, 2005 till June 30, 2006. When determining the winners in the nomination of «Public opinion» they will be also consider the opinions of those specialists representing oil-and-gas sector who will participate in a poll placed at an official site of a ceremony.
On the eve of a ceremony there should be a meeting of the expert council held in order to determine final list of winners. The ceremony of awarding the prize-winners will take place on 19-20 of October at the entertainment center «Radius Hall» in Moscow.
The expert council will include representatives of state authorities and structures, pressmen and analysts, experts of international consulting energy authorities, audit and oil companies and bodies: Lukoil, TNK-BP, Vitol, Saybolt, Argus, Channoil Consultancy, Petromarket, Federal Agency of River and Sea Transport, administrations of large European ports etc. The work on council forming is coming to an end. Final membership of the expert council will be announced after August 7, 2006 года.
Annual award "Oil Terminal" is a unique project having no analogs in Europe. The event will help experience exchange between representatives of port services and oil terminals of the countries of Europe and CIS. It will also assist exporters and traders of oil and oil products in development of new export routes.
International forum «Oil Terminal» will be also held within the framework of the project. It will be dedicated to the issues of export and transportation of oil and oil products, development of oil transshipment capacities and review of oil ports in CIS and Western Europe.
The forum has been organized by British company Vostock Capital UK with a support of PortNews IAA.
