Cargo turnover of Murmansk Sea Trade Port OJSC in January-July 2006 amounted to 8.561 million tons. This information has been provided at the company’s site. In July cargo turnover raised by 7%, as compared with similar period of the previous year amounting to 1.288 million tons. Volume of export cargo amounted to 1.234 million tons (+5.3% as compared with July 2005), including coal transshipment in July – 0.996 million tons, apatite — 0.197 million tons, non-ferrous metals — 0.018 million tons.
The port handled 0.09 million tons of general cargo (+ 64.1%), 1.197 million tons of bulked cargo (+3,8%). In July the port handled 16 861 wagons including 12 726 wagons with coal and 48 vessels.
