Two Azipod-type azimuth thrusters with aggregate capacity of 15 MW will increase icebreaking capability when operating in the ice up to 1,5 m thick covered with 20 cm of snow. Relatively small "Yevgeny Primakov" can accommodate 70 people (except for crew), and in case of emergency – up to 150 people.
