Newbuild dry cargo vessel “Atameken” left Nevsky Shipyard for the port of Aktau, Kazakhstan (photo)
Nevsky Shipyard says a single-deck dry cargo vessel of the mixed “river-sea” navigation “Atameken” Project RSD49) left the shipyard’s territory on 27 April 2017 and went along the Neva River through Volga to the Caspian Sea to the port of registration “Aktau”. The construction of the vessel was provided by the order of the Kazakhstan company ТОО “KTZ Express Shipping”.
The RSD49 project was developed by CJSC “Marine Engineering Bureau-Design-SPb”. Function of the vessel - sea and mixed (river-sea) transportation of general and bulk cargo, including metal, grain, timber, coal, bulky and heavy cargo, dangerous cargo of Classes 1.4S, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6.1, 8, 9 and B of BC Code.
Nevsky Shipyard, LLC is located 40 km away from Saint-Petersburg in the town of Schliesselburg on the left bank of the river Neva. The Shipyard is one of the oldest enterprises of water transport in the northwest of Russia which started its shipbuilding activity since 1952. Nowadays the Shipyard builds sea and river vessels of various types and purposes and carries out all kinds of ship repair works. The slipway for vessels rising allows to launch and lift for repairs the vessels up to 150 meters long and dock weight up to 3,800 tons.
