Passenger Port of Saint-Petersburg «Marine Façade» PLC wins the «Best Stevedoring Company» contest
Passenger Port of Saint-Petersburg «Marine Façade» PLC says it is the winner of the «Best Stevedoring Company» contest.
On 23rd of March, within the framework of the 30th anniversary conference of the Association of Sea Commercial Ports (ASOP), the outcomes of the seaports activity in 2016 were summed up, in particular, the results of the "Best Stevedoring Company" contest. Criteria for competition participants’ assessment include both production and financial performance of the companies.
Following the results of 2016, "Passenger Port of Saint Petersburg "Marine Façade" PLC was recognized as the best company among the participants of the competition specializing in passenger operations. Rosmorrechflot’s Deputy Head Nadezhda Zhikhareva solemnly presented to the Director General of "PP SPb MF" PLC Vadim Kashirin an award which became third for the organization for the last 5 years. Earlier, the company was awarded in 2012 and 2014.
Considering the planned growth in passenger traffic and expected financial results for 2017, the Port will again claim the award next year.
It should be noted that this is not the first award, which the cruise business of St. Petersburg deserved in 2017. On results of 2016, St. Petersburg was awarded the title of the best cruise destination by the authoritative magazine Cruise Insight. Earlier, St. Petersburg, according to the results of tourists voting on the largest cruise portal Cruise Critic, was also recognized as the best cruise destination in the Baltic region in 2016.
