Caspian Energy completes assembling of LSP-1 derrick and substructure (photo)
On August 16, 2015, specialists of Caspian Energy Group (United Shipbuilding Corporation) completed assembling of the derrick and the substructure of ice-resistant fixed platform No 1 (LSP-1), press center of USC says.
Ice-resistant fixed platform No1 (LSP-1) for V. Filanovsky field in the Caspian Sea is one of the key projects of OJSC “Lukoil”. This complex engineering structure is the main facility for development of the oil & gas & condensate field opened in 2005.
The substructure was installed by the floating crane Volgar, l\c 1 600 t.
The statement says that the offshore phase of the project is being performed in accordance to the schedule. The assembly works in the Caspian Sea involve 368 specialists of the Group.
The oil and gas field named after Vladimir Filanovsky was discovered in 2005 in the Northern part of the Caspian Sea, 220 km off Astrakhan. The sea depth at the site reaches 7 to 11 meters. The field estimated reserves reach 220 million tonnes and 40 billion cbm of gas. Projected oil production is to reach 8 million tonnes.
The contract on construction of LSP-1 was signed between the chiefs of Lukoil and USC on November 9th, 2011.
United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC OJSC) is the largest shipbuilding company in Russia. It was set up in 2007 with 100% federal ownership. The holding comprises 60 companies and organizations (major shipbuilding and shiprepairing companies as well as leading design bureaus). Currently, USC consolidates about 80% of the domestic shipbuilding complex. The Russian market is the main focus of the state corporation though it also exports its products to 20 countries worldwide.
